Michael Vick and Sarah Palin end up in a FOX/MSNBC debate.

Tucker Carlson, filling in for  Sean Hannity's show on Fox News Channel, Tuesday night weighed in on Michael Vick and what should have happened to him after his dogfighting conviction in 2007. By calling for Vick's execution, Carlson obviously loses credit as a commentator.

MSNBC's Cenk Ugyur on Wednesday, filling in on The Ed Show, deemed Carlson's talk "psycho babble." Uygur asks why Carlson did not call for the execution of someone like Sarah Palin for her killing of a Caribou on her reality show.

Obviously, Vick and Palin's killing of animals are very different due to the fact that Palin was hunting, while Vick was participating in a criminal dogfighting ring. Uygur points this out in his analysis of the situation.

The bottom line here is that Michael Vick paid for his crimes which he was assigned to do by our legal system. He has paid his debt to society and should be allowed to now better himself as a human being. He has done so with flying colors as far as success on the football field is concerned, and has been voted into the 2010 Pro Bowl.

It is not necessary to bring Palin into the conversation to prove the point. Clearly if Tucker Carlson was in charge of the legal punitive system, he would be executing people who deserve much lesser sentences, and a second chance at life.

If people wonder why someone like Sarah Palin has so much influence in this country, you must only look to situations like this to figure it out. They include stories like this one, which use her as an example to prove a point when the point can be made much more simply.
